MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR OCTOBER 29, 2019
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, City Attorney Traci Orman and Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett
OTHERS PRESENT: Planning and Zoning Administrator Janet McClellan, Street Superintendent Brian Bemis, Wabash Valley Asphalt Representative Warren Artz, Brazil Times Editor Frank Phillips
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was led by Mayor Wyndham.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Colfax St. Resurface – The following quote was received from Wabash Valley Asphalt to resurface a portion of Colfax St.
Logan to Park $38,655
Park to Normandy $52,935
Total $91,590
Linda Messmer made a motion to approve the quote from Wabash Valley Asphalt for $91,590.00 to resurface a portion of Colfax St., seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0. The project will be paid out of Paving Bond #1. If there are not enough funds in Bond #1 then any remaining amounts will be paid out of Wheel Tax funds.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ruthann Jeffries; seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 3-0. Meeting was adjourned at 10:08 a.m.
