Clay County Chamber of Commerce

The Clay County Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Clay County. Their purpose is to develop strategies and implement plans to stimulate the economic growth of Clay County, and they aim to help the community prosper in all realms of economic development, including manufacturing, retail and tourism.
The Chamber is also dedicated to improving the quality of life in Clay County by working with business people, employers, private citizens, and local government.
The Chamber is the link between the private sector and all local, state and federal agencies, so those groups can help the citizens and businesses of Clay County succeed in today’s global economy.

Workforce Training/Adult Education

GOALS Academy

GOALS Academy of Brazil helps adult learners reach their academic and career goals by offering free beginning and refresher courses in reading writing, and math. Students can receive free classes if they are working toward an HSE (High School Equivalency), Certification (WorkOne), or preparing for post-secondary education (college). Their services include: preparing for and taking the HSE, college prep or review, career certification trainings, job skill mentoring, resume building assistance, and interview preparation.

WorkOne Western Indiana

The WorkOne center is the heart of the workforce development system and has an office in Brazil. It’s where service delivery partners connect with customers, and with each other. WorkOne helps people who already have an HSE find a new or better job, choose a career, find a good employee, access training, or get the information needed to succeed in today’s ever-evolving workplace.

Ivy Tech Community College (Terre Haute and Greencastle campuses)

Ivy Tech is the state’s largest public postsecondary institution and the nation’s largest singly accredited statewide community college system. Ivy Tech has campuses throughout Indiana and serves as the state’s engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its community along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. Programs are offered in healthcare, technology, and business and public services.
