MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JULY 22, 2020
A meeting of the Common Council was held on July 22, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Steve Bell, Karen Boes, Shane Litz, Angela Modesitt, Brad Deal and Mayor Brian Wyndham.
The Pledge to the American Flag was led by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
OTHERS PRESENT:
- City Attorney Traci Orman, Clerk-Treasurer Karen McQueen, Frank Phillips with the Brazil Times and Jim Coffenberry.
PRAYER was said by Brad Deal.

NEW BUSINESS:
- Resolution 9-2020 an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Brazil and Clay County for a Industrial Park Utility Expansion and EDA Grant was introduced. Brad Deal made a motion to approve Resolution 9-2020, seconded by Angie Modesitt. Motion passed 5-0.
- Resolution 10-2020 a designation of a representative for the City of Brazil concerning the EDA Grant – Steve Bell made a motion to approve Resolution 10-2020, seconded by Shane Litz. Motion passed 5-0.
- CF-1 IVC Resolution 15-2009 Personal Property: Brad Deal made a motion to approve IVC CF-1 Resolution 15-2009 Personal Property, to be in substantial compliance, seconded by Karen Boes. The motion passed 5-0.
- CF-1 New Hope Services Resolution 2015-2016 Real Property: Shane Litz made a motion to approve New Hope Services Resolution 2015-2016 Real Property, to be in substantial compliance, seconded by Brad Deal. The motion passed 5-0.
- Declaration of fiscal body for library board. The City of Brazil is acknowledging that they can be responsible for binding review of the Brazil Public Library’s budget should circumstances warrant same. Steve Bell made a motion that the City of Brazil would review the Brazil Public Library’s budget if it was necessary under circumstances as set forth by statute, seconded by Karen Boes. The motion passed 5-0.

MAYOR COMMENTS:
Mayor Brian Wyndham handed out information to the Council from American Water.
ADJOURNMENT: Brad Deal made a motion to adjourn meeting; seconded by Karen Boes. The motion passed 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
