MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR NOVEMBER 25, 2019
A meeting of the Common Council was held on December 25, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Steve Bell, Roy Kellar, Angela Modesitt, and Mayor Brian Wyndham. Brad Deal was absent. Shane Litz arrived later.
The Pledge to the Flag was led by Steve Bell.
Prayer was led by Steve Bell.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Traci Orman, Clerk Treasurer Karen McQueen, Emma Adlam from Baker Tilly
NEW BUSINESS:
- Change Resolution 4-2019 to Resolution 6-2019 – Angie Modesitt made a motion to change number for Resolution 4-2019 to Resolution 6-2019: A Resolution Amending the City’s Policy to Partially Reimburse Certain Employees and Elected Officials for Use of their Private Cell Phones for City Purposes; seconded by Roy Kellar. The motion passed 3-0.
- Ordinance 22-2019 – This ordinance will authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds for the purpose of providing funds to pay the costs of local municipal public improvements projects within the City. Shane Litz made a motion to suspend the rules and pass on first reading; seconded by Angie Modesitt. The motion passed 4-0. Shane Litz made a motion to approve Ordinance 22-2019; seconded by Roy Kellar. The motion passed 4-0.
- Ordinance 23-2019 -Roy Kellar made a motion to pass the first reading; seconded by Steve Bell. The motion passed 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT: Roy Kellar made a motion to adjourn meeting; seconded by Angie Modesitt. The motion passed 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
