MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JUNE 26, 2019
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on JUNE 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Ruthann Jeffries.
ROLL CALL: Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, Clerk-Treasurer Karen McQueen and City Attorney Traci Orman
OTHERS PRESENT: Planning and Zoning Administrator Janet McClellan, Fire Chief Jake Bennett, and Frank Phillips with the Brazil Times.
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was led by Ruthann Jeffries.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Linda Messmer made a motion to approve minutes from May 22, 2019; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 2-0.
OLD BUSINESS: NONE
NEW BUSINESS:
- Opening bids – Façade grant –Kristy Jerrell, Grant Administrator was present to read the bids from CDI and SSRG, which were the only 2 bids turned in to the city. CDI with a bid of $1,164,000.00 and SSRG with a bid of $1,369,925.00. See attached for further details. Bids will be taken under advisement.
- Cleanups – See List – Linda Messmer made a motion to approve the cleanup list, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. Passed 2-0.
- Mowing – See List – Linda Messmer made a motion to approve the mowing list, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. Passed 2-0.
