THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR OCTOBER 13, 2021
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on October 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Ruthann Jeffries
Pledge was led by Ruthann Jeffries.
ROLL CALL: Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, Clerk – Treasurer Karen McQueen, City Attorney Traci Orman. Mayor Brian Wyndham was absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Coffenberry, Shawnette Szekely City of Brazil Water Superintendent, City of Brazil Resident Daniel Rose, Representative Rick Graves from Graves Construction, Planning and Zoning Assistant Cathy Hunter, and a Representative Steve Binder from Midwestern Engineering.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve minutes from September 29, 2021, seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Open Bids – Water Works Improvements Projects: Industrial Park Water Storage Tank and Booster:
Infrastructure Systems Bid – $1,523,400.00, all information included
BT Drainage Bid – $1,358,269.00, all information included
Graves Construction Bid – $1,789,789.00
- Cleanups:
- 321 East Vermont Street
- 311 North Ashley Street
- 124 North Epworth Street
- 607 North Columbia Street
Linda Messmer made a motion to approve property cleanups, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. Passed 2-0.
FUTURE AGENDA: Regular Board of Works Meeting on October 27th, with executive session to follow.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Linda Messmer seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 2-0. Meeting was adjourned at 10:16 a.m.
