MINUTES OF
THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR SEPTEMBER 29, 2021
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on September 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
Pledge was led by Mayor Wyndham
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett, City Attorney Traci Orman. Linda Messmer was absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve minutes from September 22, 2021, seconded by Mayor Wyndham. The motion passed 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Public Hearing on Trash Contract – A Public Hearing was opened at 10:02 a.m. to discuss the Trash Contract. Proposals were received from Wallace Brothers and Republic. No Public was present so there were no audience comments and no comments from the Board. The Public Hearing was closed at 10:04 a.m.
- Approval of Trash Contract – Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to award a 10-year contract to Wallace Brothers, seconded by Mayor Wyndham. The motion passed 2-0.
FUTURE AGENDA: Regular Board of Works Meeting on October 13th.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ruthann Jeffries seconded by Mayor Wyndham. The motion passed 2-0. Meeting was adjourned at 10:07 a.m.
