MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR MARCH 27, 2019
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on March 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer. City Attorney Traci Orman was absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: Planning and Zoning Assistant Cathy Hunter, Police Chief Clint McQueen, Daniel Rose
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was led by Mayor Wyndham.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Linda Messmer made a motion to approve minutes from March 13, 2019; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS: NONE
POLICE CHIEF REPORT: Chief Clint McQueen
- There were 462 calls for service in February including 48 incident reports, 20 arrests, 46 tickets issued, 78 warnings, 15 crashes, vehicle impounds 15 and 6 handgun permits.
- Chief McQueen discussed the process of how to get gun permits and which adjoining states accepted Indiana gun permits.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Clean Up List – None
AUDIENCE COMMENTS: Mr. Rose inquired about City owned properties and the prospect of them being sold. Mayor Wyndham said that we can anticipate a public auction in April.

- Clerk – Linda Messmer made a motion to approve; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0
- Utilities – Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve; seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 3-0.
