MINUTES of the BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
for the City of BRAZIL located in CLAY County, State of INDIANA
for March 24, 2023
A meeting with the Board of Public Works and Safety was held on March 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Brian Wyndham, Board Members Ruthann Jeffries & Linda Messmer, and City Attorney Traci Orman.
OTHERS PRESENT: Brazil Times Representative Nick Wilson and Brian Bemis – Street Superintendent.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Community Crossings 2022-2 Award – Quotes were opened on March 22, 2023 for the Community Crossings 2022-2 project. One quote was received from Milestone Contractors in the amount of $87,282.00. After review of the quote and upon recommendation of the City Attorney, Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to award the project to Milestone Contractors, to approve the Notice of Award, to approve the Agreement between Owner and Contractor, to approve the Notice to Proceed contingent upon receiving the appropriate documents from Milestone, and to authorize the Mayor to sign any and all documents related to the project; seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Linda Messmer, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0. Meeting was adjourned at 10:03 a.m.
