THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JUNE 29, 2022
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on June 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
Pledge was led by Mayor Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett, City Attorney Traci Orman
OTHERS PRESENT: Gretchen VanPelt from the Brazil Times, Ashley Brown, intern with Cox, Zwerner, Gambill & Sullivan
NEW BUSINESS:
- WWTP Chemical Building – Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to award the WWTP Chemical Building Contract 1-2021 to Graves Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $939,383.00, seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 3-0.
- Water Works Improvement Project – Raw Water Main Relocation – Linda Messmer made a motion to award the Raw Water Main Relocation Project to Van Hoy & Sons Construction in the amount of $928,070.00, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0. This project will be funded with ARP (American Rescue Plan) funds.
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: The next meeting is scheduled for July 13, 2022.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Linda Messmer seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0. Meeting was adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
