MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR OCTOBER 24, 2018
A meeting of the Common Council was held on October 24, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Steve Bell, Roy Kellar, Shane Litz, Angela Modesitt, Brad Deal and Mayor Brian Wyndham.
The Pledge to the Flag was led by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Traci Orman, Firefighters Ryan Brown, Chris Moon, Seth Haviland, Policemen Graig Bass and Josh Lynch
PRAYER was said by Steve Bell.

AUDIENCE COMMENTS: NONE
OLD BUSINESS:
- Ordinance 8-2018: Firefighters Salary for 2019 – Firefighters Ryan Brown, Chris Moon and Seth Haviland were present to discuss the salary ordinance. Shane Litz made a motion to pass Ordinance 8-2018 on Second Reading; seconded by Brad Deal. The motion passed 5-0.
- Amended Ordinance 9-2018: Police Salary for 2019 – Policemen Graig Bass and Josh Lynch were present to discuss the salary ordinance. Shane Litz made a motion to pass Amended Ordinance 9-2018; seconded by Steve Bell. The motion passed 5-0
- Addendum to Police Union Agreement Setting forth 2019 Salaries – teve Bell made a motion to pass Addendum to Police Union Contract setting forth the 2019 Salaries; seconded by Brad Deal. The motion passed 5-0.
NEW BUSINESS: NONE
COUNCIL COMMENTS:
- Steve Bell complimented Detective Josh Lynch for handling a situation in Ward 3.
MAYOR COMMENTS: Mayor Wyndham updated the Council on repair of the light pole which was damaged in front of CVS.
ADJOURNMENT: Brad Deal made a motion to adjourn meeting; seconded by Roy Kellar. The motion passed 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:48 p.m.
