MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR MAY 29, 2015
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on May 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Brian Wyndham, Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, City Attorney Traci Orman and Deputy Clerk Patty Bedwell
OTHERS PRESENT: Wastewater Superintendent Billy Goodrich, Planning and Zoning Administrator Teresa Glenn, Street and Sanitation Supervisor Brian Bemis
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was lead by Mayor Wyndham.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 27, 2015, Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve. Linda Messmer seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Approval for Clean-ups and Mowing – Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve the Clean Up and Mowing lists for May 29, 2015. Linda Messmer The motion passed 3-0.
- Opening of Bids – 13 city streets were identified for the 2015 Paving Project. Two bids were opened.
Wabash Valley Asphalt – $420,855.09
Dave O’Marra – $377,083.00
The Board of Works will take the bids under advisement and will award the Paving Project Bid at the June 3, 2015 meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ruthann Jeffries; seconded by Linda Messmer. Meeting adjourned at10:22 a.m. The motion passed 3-0.
