MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY

FOR DECEMBER 23, 2019
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on December 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Ruthann
ROLL CALL: Ruthann Jeffries, Linda Messmer, Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett. Mayor Wyndham and City Attorney Traci Orman were absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: PZ Administrator Janet McClellan, Fire Chief Jake Bennett
PLEDGE: The pledge to the Flag was led by Ruthann Jeffries.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Linda Messmer made a motion to approve minutes from December 13, 2019; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 2-0.

NEW BUSINESS:
- Unsafe Property – 416 N. Leavitt – PZ Administrator Janet McClellan stated that the property basement is full of water and the home has black mold as well as a rotted floor. Linda Messmer made a motion to a affirm 416 N. Leavitt as unsafe, seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 2-0.

- Utilities – Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to approve; seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 2-0.
