MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JULY 18, 2016
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on July 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Linda Messmer, Ruthann Jeffries, Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett, City Attorney Traci Orman
OTHERS PRESENT: Planning and Zoning Administrator Teresa Glenn, Larry Wallace of West Point Properties, LLC.
5 packets were given out and 3 bids were received for demolition of 9 BEP Properties (Blight Elimination Properties). The following bids were received and opened:
1.) West Point Properties, LLC – $69,000.00
2.) JS McCullough Excavating, LLC – $76,100.00
3.) BP2 Construction – $135,000.00
Linda Messmer made a motion to take the bids under advisement; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. The motion passed 3-0.
Bids will be taken under review and will be awarded at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2016 in the Council Chambers.
Planning and Zoning Administrator Teresa Glenn noted that IHCDA will require a sample inspection of one house during the demolition process.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Linda Messmer; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. Meeting adjourned at 10:09 a.m. The motion passed 3-0.
