MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR JULY 20, 2016
A meeting with the Board of Public Works was held on July 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Wyndham, Linda Messmer, Ruthann Jeffries, Deputy Clerk Melissa Dorsett, City Attorney Traci Orman
OTHERS PRESENT: Larry Wallace and Ryan Wallace of West Point Properties, LLC, Brazil Times Representative Frank Phillips
The following bids were received and opened on July 18, 2016, for demolition of 9 BEP Properties (Blight Elimination Properties):
1.) West Point Properties, LLC – $69,000.00
2.) JS McCullough Excavating, LLC – $76,100.00
3.) BP2 Construction – $135,000.00
The bids were reviewed by the Board of Works. Ruthann Jeffries made a motion to award the bid for demolition of 9 BEP Properties to West Point Properties, LLC for $69,000; seconded by Linda Messmer. The motion passed 3-0.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Linda Messmer; seconded by Ruthann Jeffries. Meeting adjourned at 9:35 a.m. The motion passed 3-0.
