MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR MARCH 16, 2016
A meeting of the Common Council was held on March 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Brian Wyndham, Steve Bell, Brad Deal, Roy Kellar, Shane Litz, Angela Modesitt. Also in attendance: Clerk-Treasurer Karen McQueen, City Attorney Traci Orman
The Pledge to the Flag was lead by Mayor Wyndham
OTHERS PRESENT: Representatives from Lawn America – Robert Young, Hilda Young, Evan Huber

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: NONE
OLD BUSINESS:
- Ordinance 6-2016: An Ordinance Establishing Rates and Charges-Waterworks Utility – Shane Litz made a motion to rescind Ordinance 3-2016; seconded by Brad Deal. The motion passed 5-0. Roy Kellar made a motion to pass 1st reading of Ordinance 6-2016: An Ordinance Establishing Rates and Charges for the Use of and Services Rendered by the Waterworks Utility of the City of Brazil; seconded by Brad Deal. The motion passed 5-0.
- Awarding of Cemetery Mowing Contract – The following bids were received for the 2016 Cemetery Mowing Contract.
US Lawns – $20,179.00
Lawn America -$19,350.00
- C. Landscaping – $28,000.00
Angie Modesitt made a motion to award the 2016 Cemetery Mowing Contract to Lawn America; seconded by Roy Kellar. The motion passed 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT:
Brad Deal made a motion to adjourn meeting, seconded by Steve Bell. Motion passed 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:16 p.m.
