MINUTES OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
BRAZIL, INDIANA
FOR NOVEMBER 9, 2016
A meeting of the Common Council was held on November 9, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Brazil City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brian Wyndham.
ROLL CALL: Mayor Brian Wyndham, Steve Bell, Shane Litz, Angela Modesitt. Absent: Roy Kellar, Brad Deal
The Pledge to the Flag was lead by Mayor Wyndham.
OTHERS PRESENT: City Attorney Traci Orman, Clerk-Treasurer Karen McQueen
PRAYER was said by Angie Modesitt.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Angie Modesitt made a motion to approve minutes from September 28, 2016; seconded by Steve Bell. The motion passed 3-0.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS: NONE
A Public Hearing was opened at 6:15 pm to discuss Ordinance 21-2016: Additional Appropriations. The Public Hearing was closed at 6:16 pm.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.) Ordinance 21-2016: Additional Appropriations – It has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was originally appropriated in the annual budget. The following amounts are requested:
CCD-Capital Outlays $61,250
Rainy Day Fund $160,000
Park-Capital Outlays $17,100
Wheel Tax $96,685
General Fund $195,106
Cumulative Drainage $1,601
Traffic Safety $5,495
Emergency Response $2,306
Oil Revenue $28,495
Angie Modesitt made a motion to approve Ordinance 21-2016 for 1st Reading; seconded by Shane Litz. The motion passed 3-0.
